First of all, I hope you’ve had a great weekend!
Let me tell you…for the past few days, I had a really bad cold.
It started Wednesday evening. It was 8:00, I had just gotten home from a dinner engagement and decided to nap for an hour, then hop online and check in with my Facebook fan page and LinkedIn® discussion group for a bit before turning in.
I woke up at 9 alright. 9:00 AM. The next morning. And overnight… a cold had caught me.
For the next 48 hours, I was asleep more than I was awake. I finally had to nuke myself with every variation of a medication whose name ends in “-quil” and now, Sunday evening, I’m pretty much recovered. Actually I can’t wait for this evening to be over because I want it to be Monday already. (You know SOMETHING’s right when instead of “Sunday blahs” you have “Monday aaahhhhs“.)
The whole experience got me thinking.
When you need a “boost” to lift yourself up (raise your spirits, break free of the clutches of a bad cold, what have you), what is that driving force that makes you do it?
